To make an outbound captioned call, you must first download the CaptionMate app on your phone, register an account, and log in. You can dial a number into the keypad, or call numbers in your phone's saved contacts.
To make an outbound call from the Keypad
1. Open the CaptionMate app
2. Tap the Keypad icon at the bottom of the screen and enter the desired number
3. Tap the blue phone icon to place your call
After the call is connected, captions should appear on your screen.
To make an outbound call from Contacts
1. Open the CaptionMate app
2. Tap the Contacts menu on the bottom toolbar of the screen
3. Select the name of the contact you want to call
4. Tap the phone number to make your call
After the call is connected, captions should appear on your screen.
Please note: These steps are for making calls over the app's default Cloud Channel. If the these steps don't work for you, you may be connected to the Classic Channel. To check which Channel your app is using, open CaptionMate, tap Settings, and scroll down to the 'Calls' section.
