If you have call forwarding set up and you are planning to delete or have already deleted the CaptionMate app, you must disable call forwarding for calls to go to your regular phone app. Deleting the app will not cancel call forwarding.

Call forwarding is a service provided by your cellular provider. You can contact your phone carrier for assistance with deleting call forwarding, or refer to the instructions below.

To cancel call forwarding with AT&T

  1. From your phone’s home screen, tap the regular phone app

  2. Enter #21#

  3. Press the call button, wait for the confirmation tone (or 10 seconds), and tap the end call button

  4. Call forwarding should be canceled.

To cancel call forwarding with T-Mobile

  1. From your phone’s home screen, tap the regular phone app

  2. Enter ##21#

  3. Press the call button, wait for the confirmation tone (or 10 seconds), and tap the end call button

  4. Call forwarding should be canceled.

To cancel call forwarding with Verizon

  1. From your phone’s home screen, tap the regular phone app

  2. Enter *73

  3. Press the call button, wait for the confirmation tone (or 10 seconds), and tap the end call button

  4. Call forwarding should be cancelled.
